Mangawhai Activity Zone Progress Update

Just planted, large specimen Phoenix Palms

Many of you will have noticed the changes taking effect at MAZ. Some obvious ones are the planting of large specimen Phoenix Palms, donated by Margie and Reade Murray. These have already greatly enhanced the visual impact of the park.

We also now have underground power in place, and are in the process of organising some task lighting for the skate facility as well as more subtle ambient street lighting for other areas of the park.

Kaipara District Council has donated two sets of concrete tables and chairs which will be greatly received.

The bike track is almost fully pegged and marked out, and towards spring time will hopefully be formed and be open to the general public.

Working Bee on Sunday, 2nd July @ 1 pm. MAZ is always appreciative of the ideas and hands on support that is so invaluable to this massive community initiative. Help us to create THE ULTIMATE recreational facility. Please give us an hour or so of your time at our working bee!
